Last year in December, I was there at UNESCO MGIEP TECH 2017, a 3 days international conference to present an idea of spreading Artificial Intelligence Awareness among the professionals. The presentation contents were inspired by a series of lifelong Learning courses delivered by my mentor Prof M M Pant on those relevant topics.

It is a new beginning in India education world that Prof M M Pant has conceived, designed and developed a program to introduce a key ingredient of the emerging 4th Industrial Age – Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning among the young learners in the school. The 10-hour learning module sets the foundation to the much needed lifelong learning practices in the early stages. The interesting proposition is about the approach being a learner centric instead of the course provider organization or the regulation body imposing a bundle of subjects.

The class XI students are the audinece for this particular program irrespective of which study stream they have opted for. The course contents are designed to deliver on WhatsApp message posts which are handy and accessible anywhere, anytime on their mobile phone. The digital native milliniels are really hungry for the knowledge. They consume the information from the internet sources more than their teachers or parents. Professor Pant is evangelizing the lifelong learning as a practice among the youth to face the future challenges in the information abundant era.

We all join together to build a community of lifelong leraners, to break free from the limits of the education system. The path leads to the gig economy work practices and entrepreneurship organically.
